Rocky Mountain Thai Kitchen was created by Phean Deejun and Somneuk Mongkol, a Thai couple whose journey brought them from Thailand to Leadville by way of many adventures. They first met while working on a Princess Cruises ship, then refined their skills in restaurants across California and Colorado. After spending time on the road with a food truck, they opened their restaurant on Harrison Ave. in February 2025.

Their goal is straightforward: to serve Thai food that truly feels like home. From creamy coconut curries to fragrant basil stir-fries, every dish is prepared with authentic ingredients—some even brought in from Denver. The dining room reflects that same spirit, mixing photos of Thailand with pieces of Leadville’s local history. The support from the community has been amazing, and they’re grateful to be part of it.
